When it comes to major life changes, don’t wait until the last moment to make another series of menial and repetitious New Years Resolutions (NYR). Nothing is more critical than discipline, so don’t put off your path any more than you need to. There’s something extremely magical about making commitments, especially the spiritual variety. Everyone has their own path (and timing), but there are several areas for you warriors of the light to test your metal. Even if you picked just one element in this list and spent your life mastering this art, you’d see a tangible change in your energy and light, for the rest of your life.
- Wake up early with the intention to greet the Sun
- Be a good relative
- Pray
- Meditate
- Suffer
- Dance
- Sing
- Protect nature
- Live with balance
- Drink lots of water: remember it’s medicine for optimal wellbeing
- Make offerings (tobacco, food, water, etc.) for the blessings given
- Sleep outside
- Keep your bare feet to the Earth
- Climb lots of mountains
- Be a person of honor
- Have heart
- Live for a cause greater than yourself
- Always be considerate
- Give thanks daily
- Learn to fast: from everything (food, water, speaking, distraction, maybe even people, etc
- Let go of fear
- Challenge yourself to be the person you were always intended to be…love hard, pray hard
- Don’t be lazy
- And absolutely don’t make excuses
